This is a genuine question. When was the last time you bought something in the UK and thought: “that was good value!” Because I really struggle to think of one.

Renting in the UK in 2026 means paying someone else’s mortgage, covering their maintenance costs, living by their rules and still being asked to leave with 2 months notice. The landlord has won every round of this fight for 30 years running.

Had to send a parcel today so went to @PostOffice and put it on the scales. That's £17. But it said £6 online I said. That's if you buy online. So I left the queue, bought online, then waited in line, showed my QR code on the phone and paid £6. Why make it so difficult?
