I've been using Mendeley Desktop daily for years, & have an annotated library of thousands of pdfs. Today, I switched to Zotero. Here's a 🧵of tips on how to do this, if you're also tired of Elsevier's BS and want to make the switch w/minimal effort while maintaining workflow.

•Relying on simple relationships between precip or temp and LCT-DOC to make predictions could be misleading.
•Large scale models of LCT-DOC should extend beyond soils and include vegetation dynamics that drive large scale variation in ecosystem C content. 5/5

Plant traits, particularly water use efficiency, also impacted how LCT-DOC responded to climate drivers, demonstrating the role of vegetation as a top down control on carbon export. 4/5

Today is #WomeninScienceDay, and my former dept head just asked me if I would be ok being removed as a coauthor from a paper I worked on for more than a year. With the ongoing discussions about academic misconduct and abuse, I feel it's the right time to share my experience.
