With all due respect, we kindly urge you to refrain from speaking on behalf of the North, as you do not represent the collective voice of our region. Please do not entangle us in political disputes that do not reflect our true aspirations.
The North has made no collective endorsement of AA as its preferred candidate. What our region genuinely desires goes far beyond political sentiments. We seek meaningful and accountable governance. Our people yearn for lasting security, quality education, accessible healthcare, modern infrastructure, stable electricity, clean water, and a thriving agricultural sector. These are the priorities that define our vision for progress.
For us, this is not a matter of sentimentally rallying behind “one of our own” regardless of capacity. Rather, it is about identifying and supporting the most capable and visionary leader, one who is truly equipped to uplift our people and transform our region for the better.
We therefore appeal to you in good conscience: do not exploit the name of the North to advance personal ambitions or narrow political interests. The North deserves better, and our people are wise enough to know the difference.

Peter Obi doesn’t own us his supporters, and he doesn’t control us. Our support is earned — rooted in what we see in as disciplined, accountable leadership. We just want a better country. The loyalty isn’t blind (or bought), just like Ronus and Agbado urchins towards Tinubu-APC. The moment Peter Obi falls short of those standards, the support goes with it. This isn’t a fan club; it’s a conscious choice. We were not bought. And if he doesn’t emerge as the presidential candidate, there’s no automatic allegiance to whoever he supports.
