In their combined tournament games, Iowa shot 25/45 on free throws. That’s 55%… well below their season average of 69%.
The Hawkeyes shot 6/42 on 3-pointers. That’s 14%. Their season average was 36%.
The Hawkeyes played some outstanding basketball all season long… but they simply did not look like themselves over these last 3 games of the season.
But many of these sophomores will be defined by what happens next. Caitlin Clark lost in the second round during her sophomore season, and bounced back to lead her team to 2 straight NCAA championship games.
Are any of these players as good as CC? Not by any stretch. Are the Hawkeyes about to go to two straight Final Fours? Unlikely.
But there’s so much room for growth in these underclassmen; they’ve got a chance to make some deep runs and compete for Big Ten titles the next two years.

Today I turn 65 and I thank God I’m doing it in Trump’s America!

I stopped drinking for 2 months and cleaned myself up.
I deleted ALL SUGARS AND STARCHES from my diet, so my A1c is down to 6.1!
I lost 18 pounds -SO FAR - walking two miles on the treadmill 6 days a week.
And here’s the important part:
I helped put Donald Trump and AMERICA FIRST back in power!
Together we DESTROYED Kackling Kamala and her dreams for power!
We showed the world who the DEMOCRATS really are:
Depraved fascist insurrectionists who don’t respect THE CONSTITUTION or the WILL OF THE PEOPLE.
And now America is respected again on the world stage.
I’m proud to have participated in this incredible turnaround.
And at 65, I’m healthier and more excited than ever for what’s ahead in Trump’s America.
Thank You, God, for letting me live to see this America reborn.

BREAKING: DHS confirms that the suspect in custody for murdering Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman in Chicago is a Venezuelan illegal alien who was caught & released at the border by the Biden administration in May 2023. DHS says he was also released from local custody after a shoplifting arrest in the sanctuary city of Chicago on June 19, 2023. DHS identifies the suspect as Venezuelan national Jose Medina-Medina. Medina-Medina is accused of approaching Gorman while she was walking in a park with friends early Thursday morning. DHS says Medina-Medina came up to her while wearing a mask and armed with a gun. As she attempted to flee, he fired his gun and shot her. Gorman was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. DHS statement: “Sheridan Gorman had her whole life ahead of her before this cold-blooded killer decided to end her life. She was failed by open border policies and sanctuary politicians who RELEASED this illegal alien TWICE before he went on to commit this heinous murder,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “We are calling on Governor Pritzker and Chicago’s sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this criminal illegal alien from jail back into American neighborhoods.”
