@Josh_theJaysFan Bisons posted their roster for tonight. Doesn't look like much more movement on trades.

For the record (should be obv but) RTs/quotes/aggregations are me simply passing along what is being written/said leading up to the deadline. Just trying to keep Jays fans informed on chatter. Doesn’t mean I agree with what’s being said. (not that my opinion should matter anyway)

@SteeleThoughts And be specific about what's appreciated. "Thank you for all you do" is nails on a chalkboard. Criticism is specific. Praise should be too.

It’s not enough to think that your team members are valuable.  It’s important to tell them.  People need to know their work is appreciated.

@ConferringCarl @CorwinPress Carl, I crafted high-interest writing workshop units that lead to huge volumes of writing, with craft & conventions we learned from reading. Kids saw themselves as writers. We built up to fantasy with so much planning before drafting that the stories spilled out. It's gone now.

I accomplished significantly more ALONE than while working in groups all week. We've gotta appreciate multiple styles and preferences to get the best out of everyone. One style doesn't fit all.

@ReganLYates @GSchultek Yep, there used to be awesome conversations, learning, and sharing. Now it's mostly influencers and preaching. So many ways to teach and learn. Old Twitter chats added lots of tools to my kit, and I could add too.

I remember when teachers on Twitter used to follow each other to build connections and network with one another. You’d introduce yourself, where you’re from, what you taught, etc. and it was just a fun way to meet new people and engage. Y’all still do that? 🤔 #Teachersof𝕏

@THEbadgermaniac I'd bet there's all kinds of backchanneling and positioning so players know who is going where.

Hard enough to build a program from scratch as it is. Even harder with the stupid transfers. How do you convince anyone good to stick around and wait during growing pains when they can fly the coop whenever their stock rises? Tough job.

@MrsRteaches I don't disagree, but it feels like this should be an "and" that is being treated as an "or". I think there are multiple variables and each have important value.

Could reading issues be cured by putting down devices, reading increasingly deeper and longer texts including chapter books, and reading to/with kids more at earlier ages? I notice stamina, concepts about print, and basic spacing of characters diminished. Experience would help.

@MrsRteaches Yep, I see this affecting students a lot this year. I'd like to see graphic novels limited as well. I see stronger analysis in read aloud. On one's own, the analysis and comprehension is mixed. I see other variables making outcomes predictable.
