@apoptosislab We’ve found that tamoxifen has metabolic effects too. Make sure to titrate down the dose to the lowest necessary for your gene induction and include a tamoxifen-only control.

Gotta retweet this one for public awareness. Many replies are useful for those working on metabolism/ISR and planning to use tetracyclin-inducible systems. @ChristofkLab also had a paper detailing the metabolic effects of doxycyline in cell lines. Is tamoxifen any cleaner?
