Every young African should know the African Youth Charter! Adopted by the @_AfricanUnion in 2006, the Charter is a legally binding framework that outlines the rights, duties, and opportunities of young people across Africa. It addresses issues that affect #youth directly, including #education, #employment, #health, participation in public life, #peacebuilding, and cultural expression. A lesser-known fact: the African Youth Charter is the only continental youth charter in the world. No other region has adopted a legally binding instrument dedicated entirely to youth #rights and responsibilities. The document itself is short and accessible.
