Le président de la Cour africaine des droits de l’homme et des peuples, l’honorable juge Blaise Tchikaya, a été reçu en audience par le ministre sénégalais de l’Intégration africaine, des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’étranger, l’honorable Cheikh Niang, et par le ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence Moussa Sarr, le 8 juillet 2026, dans le cadre de sa visite officielle au Sénégal. Organisée dans le cadre de la commémoration du 20e anniversaire de la Cour (2006-2026), cette rencontre a porté sur le rôle du Sénégal au sein du système judiciaire africain, la mise en œuvre des décisions de la Cour et le renforcement de l’accès à la justice. Amb. @sarjohbah3, AU Permanent Representative to China, received a delegation from the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) Human Capital and Institutional Development (HCID) Team in Beijing. The delegation briefed him on their mission to strengthen Africa-China cooperation in human capital development, health systems, industrialisation, and skills development. Discussions focused on advancing the African Medicines Agency (AMA), expanding local pharmaceutical manufacturing, establishing a Continental Centre for Human Capital Development, promoting South-South cooperation, and preparing for the Second African Industrial Skills Week. Le Président de la Commission de l’Union africaine (UA), S.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, a été reçu cet après-midi par S.E. le Général Assimi Goïta, Président de la République du #Mali, au Palais de Koulouba à Bamako. Le Président Goïta a salué la visite du Président de la Commission, la qualifiant de forte démonstration de la solidarité de l’Union africaine envers le Gouvernement et le peuple maliens. Le Président de la Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, a exprimé sa gratitude pour l’accueil chaleureux qui lui a été réservé et a rendu hommage à la richesse de la civilisation, de l’histoire et du patrimoine culturel du Mali. Il a également salué la résilience du peuple malien face aux défis auxquels le pays est confronté. Le Président @ymahmoudali de la Commission a reconnu les efforts du Président Goïta et des autorités maliennes pour renforcer la stabilité et faire face à la menace du #terrorisme. Réaffirmant la solidarité de l’Union africaine, il a souligné que le terrorisme ne connaît pas de frontières et insisté sur l’importance d’une action collective soutenue pour relever ce défi commun. Il a en outre réaffirmé l’engagement de l’Union africaine à soutenir le Mali dans ses défis humanitaires et de développement, notamment à travers le Centre africain de contrôle et de prévention des maladies (Africa CDC) et l’Agence de développement de l’Union africaine (AUDA-NEPAD). Il a réitéré que l’Union africaine est prête à accompagner le Mali dans la poursuite de ses efforts visant à consolider la stabilité, renforcer la cohésion nationale en vue d’un retour à l’ordre constitutionnel et faire avancer ses priorités en faveur d’une paix durable et du développement. Il a également salué l’engagement du Président Goïta en faveur du bon voisinage et de la coopération régionale. Le Président Goïta a réaffirmé la volonté du Mali de maintenir un dialogue étroit avec l’Union africaine et de continuer à travailler avec l’organisation sur les questions d’intérêt commun. The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, was received this afternoon by H.E. General Assimi Goïta, President of the Republic of #Mali, at the Palais de Koulouba in Bamako. President Goïta welcomed the Chairperson's visit, describing it as a strong demonstration of the AU's solidarity with the Government & people of Mali. Chairperson Youssouf expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended to him & paid tribute to Mali's rich civilisation, history & cultural heritage. He also commended the resilience of the Malian people in the face of the challenges confronting their country. The Chairperson @ymahmoudali acknowledged the efforts of President Goïta & the Malian authorities to strengthen stability & address the threat of #terrorism. Reaffirming the AU's solidarity, he stressed that terrorism knows no borders & underscored the importance of sustained collective action to confront this shared challenge. He further reaffirmed the AU's commitment to supporting Mali through its humanitarian & development challenges including through @AfricaCDC & @NEPAD_Agency. He reiterated that the AU stands ready to accompany Mali in its continued efforts to consolidate stability, strengthen national cohesion &, return to constitutional order to advance its priorities for sustainable peace & development.  He also commended President Goïta's commitment to fostering good neighbourliness & regional cooperation. The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, expresses his profound sadness at the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Father Emir of the State of #Qatar . On behalf of the AU Commission, the Chairperson @ymahmoudali extends his sincere condolences to His Highness the Amir, the Government and the people of the State of Qatar, and to the bereaved family. “His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani will be remembered as a visionary leader whose wisdom and statesmanship transformed Qatar into a prominent global actor. His legacy is defined by his unwavering commitment to dialogue, mediation and diplomacy, and by his belief in the power of peaceful solutions to address regional and global challenges,” the Chairperson said.
