Today, I realized my worst nightmare. I went in to awaken my 17yo son to go to the W&M game and found him dead. Unimaginable pain…the worst day I will ever live. My 14yo, Sean, even with all the pain he’s experiencing, just told me W&M dominated. Thank you, Tribe, for that.

DISCIPLINE IS A WAY OF LIFE This entire clip from Coach Saban is pure gold. Discipline is everything. Every player should watch this clip understanding how they do drills in practice, how they warm up, or do anything is a mentality. It can't be turned on or off.

@AndrewRiceGolf What if like me you shoot 72 but have two inexplicable foul ball shots that cost you 4 strokes and you can’t explain why or how those swings happen.

If you shoot 65 when you ‘swing your swing’ keep at it. If you shoot 118 when you ‘swing your swing’ it’s time for a change.🤓

@LouStagner Standard at many private clubs. At least years ago it was a thing.

A few guys I know are playing in an event and I am following them online. Looked at event rules and saw this: "Players are encouraged to change their golf shoes in the locker room. Please do NOT change your golf shoes in the parking lot." How did this ever become a "thing"?

PLAYERS: Your coaches, teammates, or situations may not be what you'd like but that shouldn't keep you from doing what you're supposed to do. Don't lose sight of your responsibility as an athlete. Bring effort, energy, a coachable spirit, and an attitude of improvement every day.

BE THE CHANGE ... If you want love ➡️ have a heart for others. If you want respect ➡️ be the first to give it. If you want peace ➡️ foster unity If you want civility ➡️ be kind to everyone, even if they don't deserve it.

You can’t just be a good when it is easy. You have to be great when it is hard! That does not mean performance outcomes – that means Engagement, Intention, Resiliency, and Patience

It does not matter what sport you play, but high-pressure competitions are different from your practice, scrimmages, or even fun games. Performance gets more complicated, and the chaos around you increases.

It takes time to rebuild the confidence to play better. It is not like turning on a light switch. Why? Because when you are confident, you are more mentally flexible to handle the little mistakes and turn them into positive outcomes. When struggling, you are not as flexible.

Anxiety is not about not having enough faith in the future. Anxiety is about your brain focusing on the threat and not believing you can handle it. But why would you not be able to handle it? To the mind, that is safer than being overconfident.
