The Minnesota Wild (104 pts) were the 3rd best team in the West this season. They should’ve played the 6-seed Mammoth (92 pts). Instead, they played the 2-seed Stars (112 pts)… and took care of business. Their reward? The 1-seed Avs (121 pts). Just absolutely ridiculous.

@dannyd1976 In games 5,6,7, in which there were 25 in his playoff career with the Leafs he had 1 goal. Often, he was barely noticeable and closely checked. He’s a great player, but when the lights shone the brightest here he was no where to be found.

He literally had 12 pts in 9 games last year before getting 1 pt in his final four against Florida. Jesus fucking Christ.

@feedthefish79 It’s tough cuz the previous GM already traded 2 first rounders. He’s inheriting few prospects and little draft capital. It’s gonna be rough.

I’ve always liked the new Leafs GMs when they were hired but that can change after performance and results are shown (e.g. Burke, Dubas and Treliving). I’m a Leafs fan and will support Chayka and Sundin until proven otherwise.
