If you want to grow something, you don’t gate keep it. We want to encourage little boys and men to watch women’s football too, not just little girls and women. And when they see someone like Ian Wright taking it as seriously as he does - they follow suit. That’s how you grow a sport.

Caps don’t win automatic work and they don’t make a brilliant pundit either. The way you communicate, articulate yourself, do your research, inform your audience, how likeable you are and the chemistry you have with your panel are what makes a brilliant pundit.

Eni Aluko is out of work for one reason - she is the most entitled, clueless and insufferable pundit there is out there. Saying two men got jobs commentating on the England final, and she didn’t despite her caps… But when it comes to the men’s game - she got the job over other male pundits with more credibility than her… People in glass houses and all that. Well aware I’ll get heat for this but just my opinion… Play 50 over cricket at the start of the summer. Allows everyone to play it unless in IPL etc. Best format of the game to develop young players and physically prepare people for champ cricket… 10 over spells, batsmanship,
