@AndrewHilaryUS Your hair doesnt grow indefinitely. It has a terminal length just like facial and body hair does. Its longer for some people than others, but there IS a point where it stops growing.

Pro tip for the Gen 1 Pokemon games. You can actually access the Safari Zone as early as after the 2nd gym. Once you've obtained Cut from the S.S. Anne, you can access the Dark Cave and get through to Lavender Town & Celadon City, unlocking the way to Fuchsia City.
