@Motorsport Why do people like Brundle feel like drivers aren’t allowed to have their say? Freedom of speech be damned it seems to certain people. Max should just outright ignore him on the grid.

@bensmithrugby RSA has been out of Super for many years. So why is Japan not in Super? Japan has a profitable rugby industry. They are not interested in joining AU and NZ in their unprofitable competitions.

Fiji and Japan would make the Rugby Championship intriguing. Interestingly though, the word has always been South Africa is anti-Japan. Tony Brown confirmed this. Didn’t want them in Super Rugby. Forced Sunwolves games to be played in Singapore. Not sure how expanded TRC would get their support.

The thing is Handre Pollard can’t hold a candle to Beauden Barrett as a player. Tries, try assists, line breaks, defence, try savers, Barrett takes the entire cake. This is at Test level. It’s not even close. Pollard became a great goal kicker and that’s all there is.

@verstappenews Brundle is fast becoming irrelevant. Just joining a constant chorus telling Max to quit, of who he has had a lot to say and talk about over the years.

this take always gets me so confused Max is literally constantly asked about his future in F1. And he always answers it honestly. What else is he supposed to do? Maybe stop recyclying the same questions 24/7 and he'd stop bringing his potential retirement up.

@MV33Racing The problem is also the sold-out races. If the stands are full they continue to make money and the DTS crowd continue to think this is the epitome of F1.

That is actually a very bad sign, and it confirms that many people are no longer watching full races and have canceled their subscriptions. Just look at what happened to the viewership in Spain with 2 drivers, and in France with 3, actually 4 if you include Charles. 📸 via @F1BigData

"Mutual respect is essential" The mutual respect

🚨BREAKING | F1 journalists release statement after Max Verstappen ban: — F1 journalists have urged the FIA to "open dialogue" with teams and media following a perceived "deterioration" in relations during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. This call comes after Max Verstappen banned a journalist from his pre-race press conference at Suzuka. — Verstappen interrupted the session, ordering Guardian F1 correspondent Giles Richards to leave, citing Richards' demeanor in a previous press conference as the reason. Richards has since faced severe online abuse, with other journalists defending him also receiving backlash. — The F1 Media Advisory Council, consisting of senior F1 journalists, has engaged in discussions with the FIA about the incident. The FIA is expected to address the issue with Red Bull. — The Italian Automotive Journalists Association (UIGA) expressed "deep concern" over the events at Suzuka, stating: “Verbal abuse and a climate of hostility directed at journalists and photographers are unacceptable and break down the fundamental principles of professional respect and press freedom.” “The testimonies of those present challenge some of the widespread narratives, which risk damaging the professional reputation of media workers.” “At the same time, tensions between drivers and photographers risk leading to increasingly restrictive measures that disproportionately affect the work of the press.” “Mutual respect is essential, but it must not limit the media's right to report freely and independently.” “UIGA, therefore, calls on the FIA to open a dialogue with all parties involved - from media representatives to teams - to prevent any further deterioration in working conditions and access to information.” “A free, respected and protected press is not an ancillary matter, but a fundamental pillar of transparency and credibility in all sports, including Formula 1.” #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 VIA: [RacingNews365]

🚨| Wolff: “this F1 is pure racing. seeing one driver recharging and the other using energy is exciting”: — Toto Wolff expressed his enthusiasm for the new Formula 1 regulations, highlighting the excitement of strategic energy management during races. Speaking to media, Wolff remarked: “Formula 1 is changing and is becoming pure racing. Seeing one pilot recharging energy and the other using it is very exciting. Let's talk about a science of racing that is developing and is in the hands of drivers. But maybe Max and the others preferred the rules of last year, when here in Suzuka we hardly saw overtaking.” — Wolff attempted to engage journalists on the topic of race aesthetics, receiving a muted response. He commented: “Nobody can complain about the lack of beauty of the races. Do you agree or not?” — In response to the silence, Wolff added: “Only conservatives and traditionalists and those who live in the past may not like it.” — Despite his satisfaction with the current state of racing, Wolff acknowledged areas for improvement, particularly in qualifying sessions: “For me, the race is not a problem, we have to work on qualifying and we will do it in London on April 9.” #toto #mercedesf1 #f1racing 🇬🇧 VIA: [formulapassion]
