If these are the first reactions to Supergirl, I don’t even want to know what they’ll look like once more people see the film on Monday and Tuesday who weren’t “incentivized” by junket opportunities and a specialized meet and greet event.
As a lifelong DC fan and defender of the brand through its ups and downs, I’m starting to get a little concerned.
Early reactions aren’t everything, but when the initial buzz is this mixed, it’s hard not to wonder what the broader response will be once a larger group of critics and fan base weighs in.
DC will always have my heart because I adore these characters so much but for the first time in a very long time, I can’t say I’m excited about a DC movie and that deeply saddens me.
