@dashiellsilva This list is super useful as well niki-smith.com/about/graphic-… . Literary agents tend to be quite open online about what they are / aren't seeking so it's worth looking the names on that list up at publishersmarketplace.com to see if your project is a good fit for specific agents

I think I may win with annoying DOI stories. They call bizarrely frequently considering I've told them repeatedly I have zero interest. One time I accidentally butt dialled them back and left a twenty minute international voicemail from my pocket. It cost me £40 🤡

@LukeHealy Dickens is great but for a similar era /vibe but slightly less dense stuff, Wilkie Collins can be good fun (I really enjoyed The Moonstone and Woman in White.) Would also recommend Vanity Fair and Middlemarch for slightly less obnoxious old rich people British romps!

@LukeHealy Gravity’s Rainbow is way more fun than the ‘insufferable male who’s into talking about tricky books’ vibe it’s hampered with (although I appreciate the irony of me, an insufferable man, saying this!) Same with Pale Fire if you enjoyed Lolita.
