The new “Research Stories” online platform has gone live. The website was created by Flossenbürg Concentration Camp Memorial in cooperation with @AuschwitzMuseum. “Research Stories” shows how historical research at the German Nazi concentration camp memorials has changed over the past years. Thanks to the digitalization of archival documents, new online databases, and better networking between institutions, today we can answer questions about prisoners that seemed unknowable even fifteen years ago. “Stories” are fascinating tales of research that provide insights into our scientific work. Under “Research,” you will find a multitude of helpful tips for doing your own research on concentration camp prisoners. You’re the ones who inspired us to create this platform—everyone who asked us questions and did their own research; the many people who are committed to keeping alive the memories of the victims of the Nazi regime.
