Not just Upwork tbh, anywhere
Did an interview one time, I had already rehearsed what to say when I’m being asked how much I was expecting. Devil came in and I mentioned a very stupid figure, client said okay and I’m like Uhn? She was like “I want to believe that, that’s where you think your strength lies, that’s how much your think your capabilities are worth”
I felt so insulted, in my life, I’ve never tried that rubbish again 🤣🤣🤣. Yes they’re looking for cheap labor but they want value like mad 🤣

Upwork and Fiverr to foreign clients have always been a market for cheap labor. You can earn a lot there but not excluding the fact that it's for cheap labor... Do you think a solo founder can afford a US based designer?? 😀 He is reaching out his country because it's cheap. Hence why Fiverr and upwork is toping that chart.

also, my charger died and I was completely off my laptop for days….that alone reminded me how much of my life and work depends on that one device.
