From Pixels to Policy: Empowering Orange Economy! Inaugurated the Gen O: Pixels & Play and Global Esports Games Finals in Mumbai today. Also had the pleasure of interacting with a diverse group of influencers on this occasion, engaging in meaningful conversations and answering their questions about the Orange Economy. Maharashtra is creating a supportive environment to develop gaming, the creator economy, and digital infrastructure. The state government is actively working to bridge the gap between creators and brands. Recently, discussions were held with YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, focusing on building a robust ecosystem for creators. In addition, the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) policy is giving a boost to the creator economy. To expand formal education opportunities in content creation for students, the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) has been established. Through a hub-and-spoke model, training and infrastructure will be made available, providing students with clear career pathways in gaming, animation, and visual effects. Regarding internet facilities in rural areas, the government plans to provide high-speed internet to every village, ensuring a lag-free experience for gamers. Maharashtra is developing 12 AVGC hubs to create a complete ecosystem for producing world-class games. Additionally, a state-of-the-art complex for content creators is planned on a 50-acre site near Navi Mumbai Airport, where e-sports, content creation, and all related facilities will be available in one location. महाराष्ट्रात गेमिंग, क्रिएटर इकॉनॉमी संबंधित पायाभूत सुविधा उभारण्यावर भर मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या हस्ते ‘जेन ओ: पिक्सल्स एंड प्ले’ आणि 'ग्लोबल ईस्पोर्टस गेम्स फायनल्स'चे उदघाटन करण्यात आले. यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री म्हणाले की महाराष्ट्रात गेमिंग, क्रिएटर इकॉनॉमी संबंधित शिक्षण आणि डिजिटल पायाभूत सुविधांसाठी शासन सक्षम वातावरण निर्माण करत आहे. या कार्यक्रमात काही कंटेंट क्रिएटर्सनी विचारलेल्या प्रश्नांना मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी त्यांच्या खास शैलीत उत्तरे दिली. राज्य शासन क्रिएटर्स आणि ब्रँड्स यांच्यातील दरी कमी करण्यासाठी प्रयत्नशील असून, क्रिएटर्ससाठी मजबूत इकोसिस्टम तयार करण्यावर भर दिला जात आहे. तसेच AVGC धोरणाद्वारे क्रिएटर इकॉनॉमीला चालना दिली जात असल्याचेही त्यांनी सांगितले. मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले की विद्यार्थ्यांना गेमिंग, अ‍ॅनिमेशन आणि व्हिज्युअल इफेक्ट्समध्ये करिअरची स्पष्ट दिशा मिळावी यासाठी 'इंडियन इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ क्रिएटिव्ह टेक्नॉलॉजी' (IICT) स्थापन करण्यात आली आहे. हब-अँड-स्पोक मॉडेलद्वारे प्रशिक्षण आणि इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर उपलब्ध करून दिले जाईल. राज्यातील 70% गावांमध्ये फायबर नेटवर्क पोहोचले असून, पुढील 2 ते 3 वर्षांत प्रत्येक गावात हायस्पीड इंटरनेट उपलब्ध होईल, ज्यामुळे गेमर्सना ‘लॅग-फ्री’ अनुभव मिळेल, असा विश्वासही त्यांनी व्यक्त केला. महाराष्ट्रात 12 एव्हीजीसी हब्स विकसित केले जात असून, नवी मुंबई विमानतळाजवळ 50 एकर जागेवर कंटेंट क्रिएटर्ससाठी अत्याधुनिक संकुल उभारण्यात येणार आहे. येथे ई-स्पोर्ट्स आणि कंटेंट क्रिएशनशी संबंधित सर्व सुविधा एकाच ठिकाणी उपलब्ध असतील असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी स्पष्ट केले. @Dev_Fadnavis @GE_Federation @maha_tourism @Geno_India #GEGMumbai #GenOPixelAndPlay #DevendraFadnavis #EsportsIndia
