@thrustvector It's an actors' terms thing. I don't think there should be an aristocracy, just as I don't think chemists should be using the phlogiston theory. But I object to this "Lady Jane" business as I would object to a representation of Joseph Priestley blethering on about metal oxides.

Important news: I can no longer truly enjoy Lovejoy after sudden realisation that "Lady Jane Felsham" CANNOT POSSIBLY be the character's correct form of address. If her husband is indeed Lord Alexander Felsham, she is – regrettably – styled "Lady Alexander". Get it right, people!
