How exactly is refusing to recognize a genocidal state holding Pakistan back? Since when has endorsing policies such as apartheid, occupation, and ethno-supremacism been a prerequisite for prosperity in the modern world? Prosperity depends far more on domestic governance, investment climate, human capital, diversified trade etc. than on relations with any one particular country. Pakistan has many limitations and problems, but non-recognition of a state that has overseen the displacement, dispossession, and genocide of Palestinians, is not one of them.
