@dollarsanddata We do something similar but instead of income going to joint account we have our income into our individual accounts and transfer for joint expenses and also include a set amount for our joint savings account to save for the bigger purchases.

There's a simple solution to this:
-Joint bank account (all income goes in, all shared expenses come out)
-Each spouse keeps separate account
-Any surplus (in joint account) gets split (50/50) and sent to separate accounts
-For big purchases, each party deposits back into joint

My best friend is 36 years old. He’s been married for 7 years, but they still don’t have a joint bank account. He and his wife literally Venmo each other for half a meal out, or half of the gas bill. How do I kindly explain to him that they are acting like unserious children?

I play golf every Tuesday with my Dad and 3 of his friends. All (except me the kid) are over the age of 80 with the oldest being Craig who is 93. We play best ball just to keep things moving.
Today, Craig holed about a 50 foot putt. Before any of us could say a word, I see Craig drop his putter, yell “KOBE!!!” And walk off the green leaving his putter for one of us to retrieve. It’s probably the single best moment of my golfing life ever.
