At dinner, a little boy was asked to lead the prayer. "But I don't know how to pray," he replied. "Just pray for your family members, friends, neighbors, the poor, etc.," "Okay," stuttered the boy. "Dear Lord, Thank you for our visitors and their children, who finished all my cookies and ice cream. Bless them so they won't come again. Forgive our neighbor's son who removed my sister's clothes and wrestled with her on her bed. This coming Christmas, please send clothes to all those poor naked ladies on my daddy's iPhone... And provide shelter for the homeless men who use Mom's room when Daddy is at work. Amen."

So I went viral today with this story on @itsSh0la post and @instablog9ja carried it. Surprised me that a lot of people doubted that it's real. Well, it's my current life that I just shared.

My female neighbor came to borrow my gas yesterday afternoon the moment I returned from work. I had bought food from a nearby eatery on my way back, so I gave it to her without hesitation. My gas was almost finished but I figured it would be enough for whatever she needed. Guess what? She did not return it yesterday. This morning, before church, I needed the gas to heat water. I went to her place and asked for it back. She said the gas finished while she was using it the previous evening, so she refilled 1kg into the cylinder. Then she told me to return it after use because she was not done with it. I thought she was joking. I casually said "otilor" (it's gone). Her response floored me. "Na me go refill your gas for you? Abeg return am before you go church." I was wowed. But I said okay, no problem, and collected it. This is someone who borrows my gas on a regular basis. At least twice a week. I did not return it. And she will never see my gas again. Let her do her worst. Above all, love God.

My nephew was eating watermelon, and I told him, "If you swallow the seed, it will grow in your stomach." He looked me straight in the eyes and said, no, because there’s no sun in his stomach… then asked if I skipped classes. He is 6 years old.

My colleague got married 3 years ago. Every month, she sends ₦50k to her husband’s younger brother for school and upkeep. She did it consistently. No complaints. Her husband never asked her to send the money; she just felt it was the right thing to do. Then this year, she stopped. Two weeks later, the younger brother called the husband: “Brother, she didn’t send my money this month.” The husband came home and asked her, “You didn’t send money to my brother? Why?” She looked at him and said, “Since we got married, how many times have you sent money to my own siblings?” The husband frowned. “That one is different.” She didn’t argue. She just asked him one question: “How is it different?” The husband kept quiet for a few seconds, then said, “I didn’t ask you to start sending him money. You chose to do it.”

My landlord and his wife had a heated argument and I overheard him shouting at his wife that at her age, she can’t make ordinary moimoi. My landlady is in her early 50s and I’m not even close to being her age mate. I know how to make nutritious and sweet moimoi but my problem is that I don’t know how to approach her so she won’t get angry, because she will definitely know that it was because of what her husband said that made me decide to want to teach her. Aside from greeting, we don’t relate. I’ve never stepped foot in their sitting room before. My heart tells me to teach her but I honestly don’t know how to go about it without her feeling insulted. Or should I just face front and mind my business? Shalom!

DNA is really so crazy, have y'all heard that story about the woman who had a baby with her husband and when he got a DNA test done he wasn't the father the mother insisted he was the dad so much so that they repeated the test numerous times the couple got divorced and the man refused tor be in the child's life it later came out based off the DNA results that he wasn't the father but the uncle of the child which was impossible because he was an only child after a more extensive DNA test they found out the husband was actually a chimera which essentially means he had a twin brother that he ate in utero essentially absorbing his DNA. So basically the unborn, twin brother was the father even though the husband bore the child.

You're 33 and mis€rabl€... Basically almost two decades of not fulfilling a basic law of nature... Now you need online validation to feel like you're on the right path you're here announcing... Why couldn't you brag about how you made big achievements like being a millionaire or being the owner of a company If you saw being married as something holding you back?? ... Everyday u go to bed crying and you envy your friends who are getting married because your terrible character wouldn't let u find a suitable husband

My son fought. I was summoned to HM's office-those invitations that come with stress. Boy is seated to my right, looking small, guilty & suddenly very obedient. I'm there trying to mimic a responsible parent. The Headmaster had prepared a sermon: He spoke. And spoke eloquently. And spoke vehemently. About discipline, character, the future. Etc etc… Me nodding like a car dashboard toy; My son-Head down, Silent, Regretful: The picture of reform. Finally, the Headmaster lands the plane: "Fighting in this school is highly punishable and strictly not allowed." I turn slowly to my son. "lan, have you heard?" Boy looks me dead in the eyes & says: "Yes, Daddy... I will beat him during the holidays." My spirit left my body😱.

@ummuh_Zahra Yes, you're expecting too much because that brother of yours is also in the same messy economy as you are. If he turns his source of income into charity organisation, he will go down. Your children are your responsibility, not his. Be thankful for the one he has done.

I’m honestly still trying to process what just happened. My younger brother owns a school, and we even live in the same area. I have five children, and with how things are these days, it hasn’t been easy keeping up financially. So I decided to swallow my pride and go to him… not as just anyone, but as his sister… to ask if he could help me enroll my kids in his school. The response I got shocked me. He said the best he could do was give a discount for two of the children… and that I would have to pay full fees for the rest 3 in secondary school. What hurt me the most is that he knows my financial situation. He knows what I’m going through. I didn’t argue. I didn’t even push it. Out of shame, I just stood up and left. Since then, I’ve been feeling somehow… embarrassed, hurt, and confused at the same time. Now I keep asking myself: Did I do something wrong by asking my own brother for help? Was I expecting too much? Or is this one of those moments where reality just humbles you? I really need honest opinions… because I don’t even know how to feel about this anymore. Copied

I went to visit my boyfriend unexpectedly. He told me he was out of town, but I suspected something was off, so I decided to go anyway. My plan was simple: if he was truly out of town, I would return the same day or find a hotel and leave the next day. When I got to his house and knocked, a lady opened the door. She asked who I was, and I told her I was his sister. She called out to him that his sister was around. My boyfriend came to the door, saw me, and froze. Three years of a relationship, and this was how I found out. I pushed the door open, walked in, and sat down. The lady greeted me, and I smiled back. I asked what they had cooked. Thinking I was his sister, she happily told me she made rice and stew, and also okra soup. I told her to serve me rice and stew. My boyfriend was clearly uncomfortable and trembling. When she went to the kitchen, he came close, trying to apologize, but before he could finish, I gave him a hot slap. The lady rushed out, asking what happened. I told her I was just clapping for my brother for having a beautiful woman like her and not introducing her to me. She smiled shyly and went back to the kitchen. My food was served, and I ate it with two pieces of chicken. I even asked if there was any drink, and she brought one for me. After eating, I took the remote and switched to my favorite channel. She kept trying to be nice, so when I saw Ludo, I told her we should play, and we did. Later, I went into the room and noticed she had been staying there for days. I saw two wigs she brought, one bone straight and the other a nice bouncy wig. I told her I liked the bouncy one, and she told me to take it. I quickly put it in my bag. In the evening, as I was about to leave, she stopped me and brought a takeaway of okra soup, saying I might get home late and not have time to cook. Before leaving, I walked up to my boyfriend in front of her and told him his mother said I should collect 300k from him for treatment, and I also needed 200k for myself. He said he would transfer it, but I told him if he didn’t send it immediately, I would stay there for three days. I sat down. He quickly transferred the 500k. I confirmed the alert, carried my bag, and left. When I got home, I blocked his number. I’m hurt, but a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. Have you ever paid a man an unexpected visit? What was your experience?
