La Asamblea Nacional de Ecuador admitió a trámite, el 7 de abril de 2026, una iniciativa ciudadana orientada a regular el uso medicinal y terapéutico del cannabis, así como su consumo en adultos. La propuesta recibió 142 votos a favor en el Pleno, lo que permite el inicio del proceso formal de análisis legislativo. Tras esta decisión, el proyecto debe retornar al Consejo Nacional Electoral para la validación de un mínimo de 35 000 firmas de respaldo ciudadano antes de continuar con los debates en las comisiones especializadas. Conversamos con Daniela Onofre, vocera de la Red de Organizaciones e Individuos Cannábicos del Ecuador (REDCANN) sobre esta propuesta.

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black!
We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle.
Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied.

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

In the UK, Millie Taplin was attending her first nightclub on her 18th birthday when she was handed a drink by a stranger. The stranger handed her a vodka lemonade “Try this”
Millie took a sip.
Seconds later, her face went numb, her fingers curled into claws and her entire body stiffened like she was possessed.
She stayed fully conscious, trapped inside herself, writhing in agony and screaming in her head that she couldn’t move her body.
Rushed to hospital, doctors said she was likely dosed with two unknown drugs: one to paralyse her, one to knock her out. Tests couldn’t identify the substance.

The Witkruis Monument or the White Cross Memorial consists of just under 3,000 white crosses commemorating the victims of farm murders in South Africa.
In 2023, 45 white farmers were murdered in South Africa, making the murder rate a staggering 150 per 100k, with only 30,000 commercial farmers remaining.
This rate exceeds the US army’s death rate of 120 per 100k during the peak of the Afghanistan-Iraq war in 2009.
The attacks are often racially motivated, with reports of infants being drowned and elderly women tortured.
Politicians such as the EFF’s Julius Malema and ex-president Jacob Zuma have openly called for the killing white farmers.
A memorial has been created for these farmers, the Witskruis Monument, a moving site built on a hill in which every white cross represents a murdered farmer.
Over the past 20 years, over 2,000 farmers have been killed.

Por informar sobre el apagón eléctrico del domingo fuimos víctimas junto a @jxbenedeti de una serie de agresiones por parte de algunos envenenados que saltaron como grillos a fustigar el hecho que hayamos averiguado cual fue la causa y a qué hora iba a regresar la luz para compartirla con la audiencia. inquietud que todos los afectados querían saber. Esta serie de infelices, inventaron la narrativa de que el gobierno nos había dado el comunicado. Están tan cuadrados mentalmente que ni en un domingo descansan. Pero en todo caso, hoy en @radiocentroec demostré la realidad, totalmente ajena a las estupideces que se pasaron escribiendo y por supuesto, puse en su puesto a tanto odiador que hay en esta red. Comparto esta declaración para quienes pudieran valorar nuestra actitud de informar y no para toda esa caterva de "grillos" que saltaron ayer. Para ellos, solo les comparto mi desprecio.
