He stole $245 million, fled to Nigeria, and believed he would evade justice. He was mistaken. When Xu Qing fled China on 5 November 2024, he believed Nigeria would shield him from the consequences of a Ponzi scheme that harmed hundreds of investors. He underestimated the efforts of INTERPOL NCB Abuja. Through sustained intelligence and surveillance operations, authorities located him at a factory in Olowotedo, Siun Village, Ogun State. He was arrested on 24 April 2026 and repatriated to China on 28 April 2026. He was charged with large-scale illegal absorption of public deposits through a fraudulent scheme valued at over $245 million. These funds were stolen from individuals through deliberate deception. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, emphasises that Nigeria will not serve as a refuge for fugitives. No individual, domestic or foreign, will find safe harbor here. He also urges Nigerian businesses to carry out thorough background checks before engaging foreign nationals. Due diligence is crucial. Justice extends beyond borders, and so does the commitment of the Force.

NPF ARRESTS, REPATRIATES $245 MILLION PONZI SCHEME SUSPECT TO CHINA The Nigeria Police Force, through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja, has successfully arrested and repatriated a Chinese fugitive, Xu Qing, to the People’s Republic of China to face charges related to large-scale illegal absorption of public deposits through a Ponzi scheme. The repatriation followed a formal request from Chinese authorities, who declared the suspect wanted in Beijing for his alleged involvement in a financial fraud scheme estimated at over Two Hundred and Forty-Five Million United States Dollars ($245,000,000). Investigations revealed that the suspect fled China to Nigeria on 5th November 2024 in an attempt to evade arrest, following which a warrant was issued against him on 12th November 2025 by the Shinan Sub-Bureau of Qingdao Public Security. Acting on intelligence and sustained surveillance operations, operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja successfully tracked and arrested the fugitive at a factory located in Olowotedo, Siun Village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on 24th April 2026 after which the suspect was repatriated to the People’s Republic of China on 28th April 2026 through bilateral police cooperation arrangements to face prosecution for the offences. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening international cooperation in the fight against transnational organised crime. The IGP further advised Nigerian employers and business entities to conduct due diligence, including background checks through the police, before engaging foreign nationals in business or employment relationships. The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in its commitment to combating transnational crime and ensuring that Nigeria does not serve as a safe haven for fugitives. BREAKING: Iran’s Foreign Minister just posted this in response to the Axios deal report. Axios has reported an “imminent” Iran deal five times in 19 days. Five times. No deal. Same reporter. Same sources. Same White House. Same Israeli intelligence contacts. $920 million in oil shorts placed 70 minutes before yesterday’s report. $125 million made when oil dropped. Oil surged back when Iran denied it.

President Obama to Stephen Colbert: "We can survive a lot — bad policy, funky elections, there's a bunch of stuff that, you know, we can overcome." "We can't overcome the politicization of our justice system, the awesome power of the state. You can't have a situation in which whoever is in charge of the government starts using that to go after their political enemies or reward their friends."

Obama just said what every Democrat needs to hear: “Can you talk in plain English? Not a bunch of gobbledygook. Just talk like normal people talk. ‘The rent is too high.’” Mamdani fixed 100,000 potholes and taxed empty billionaire penthouses. He didn’t need a focus group to explain why. Never stop connecting the dots.

It’s not a trick question. If you can’t say under oath that a president cannot serve a third term after having the 22nd Amendment read to you word‑for‑word, you have no business on the federal bench. And his refusal to do so is a warning that he will not uphold even the most basic limits on presidential power. For more on the broader pattern of treating constitutional limits as optional and relying on institutions to “somehow stop it” rather than actively defending democratic guardrails, see the Substack piece, “He Can’t Do That” Is a Hope, Not a Strategy.” zurl.co/ZIXsz

Obama: "I'm worried about the Republican Party, not just the Democrat Party. When I was president, people would ask me, 'What change would you like to see in Washington?' I'd say, I'd love a loyal opposition. I'd love a Republican Party that was conservative in some ways, believed in rule of law and judicial independence and science, and wasn't constantly tapping into our worst impulses."

Two days ago, a student of the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Oyo state, whose studentship had been stalled for over a year over false allegations of publishing a defamatory WhatsApp message accusing the faculty of condoning sex for grades turned to us for urgent legal support. Once our legal team in Ibadan, represented by @ritaodafe, reviewed the facts of the matter, we filed a formal petition at the Eleyele Police Headquarters, supported by clear evidence showing that the WhatsApp number linked to the message did not originate from our client. Armed with this proof, our client appeared before the disciplinary committee yesterday, and we stood side by side with her throughout the duration of the panel. Today, we're happy to share that she has now been fully exonerated, cleared to graduate, and proceed with her NYSC. That a student could be suspended for over a year based on unverified social media claims, especially now that accounts can easily be impersonated, manipulated, or misattributed, without proper investigation is unjust. We urge institutions to adopt more rigorous, evidence-based approaches without presuming guilt when handling matters of this nature. May justice always prevail. #Nigeria #ProBono

A lady on TikTok is crying as she talks about her brother who was arrested during a raid in 2023. He was just 14 years old when he was picked up around Ikeja Area F Command. She said others were released on bail, but because her family couldn’t afford it, her brother was detained and taken to court. Since then, his case has been facing constant adjournments. From 2023 till 2026, he is now 17 years old and still in Kirikiri correctional prison. During this period, both his mother and father passed away, and now his sister is the one crying out for help on his behalf.

@kenkenlewu @OfficialSuo Sometimes, it’s not about wealth but impact and service. Many poor people will have crowds stand with them cos they show up for others, they add value, they serve. Influence and value matter. Some people barely serve or support others, yet expect everyone to show up for them.

Two Sundays ago in my church, two families came forward for child dedication. The first family looked wealthy; everything from their outfits to the gifts spoke of it. As they stepped out, many people stood up and danced with them to the front. Then the second family was called. No glamour. No attention. The wife wore a simple ankara, and the husband quietly held an envelope to present. Before they even reached the front, only three people were behind them. No crowd. No excitement. I tapped my friend and said, “Let’s go.” We stood up and joined them, dancing them to the front. After the service, the husband came to find us. You could feel how deeply he appreciated that small gesture. And it left me thinking… There’s hardly space anywhere for a poor man. No money. No social love. Sometimes, not even family love. Just… silence.
