The problem is it’s not and never was “your party”. Most supporters don’t want it to be either. It’s always been about building a project around Jeremy and Zarah, rather than a movement that could stand on its own. That’s why people spent years waiting for them to make a move. And it’s why without them, it all falls apart. The left needs to get serious about mobilising without celebrity-style hero worship.
