The anti-Semitic attack in Golders Green is horrific. No one should live in fear because of who they are. We stand with the Jewish community and we must root out this hatred. Thank you to Shomrim, Hatzola, CST and the police for their swift response.

We are investing in new rail, roads, and nuclear reactors.
New scanners for our hospitals and free breakfast clubs for our children. We’re not going to let the Conservatives - or their friends in Reform - tear that down.

Too many men and boys are struggling with their health, education and work - and often in silence. Last week I listened to people doing incredible work in this space. There’s so much more to do, but these conversations matter. We need to keep building connection, open up real opportunities, and help every man and boy thrive.

Appalling scenes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner overnight. Relieved that President Trump, the First Lady, Vice President JD Vance, the Second Lady and all guests are safe. Political violence is an affront to democracy and must be condemned in the strongest terms.

Pleased to host Nasser Bourita in London this morning. The UK and Morocco have a historic and valuable partnership - one of the world’s oldest diplomatic relationships. A year on from signing our Strategic Partnership we continue to collaborate on growth and security.

St George’s flag stands for unity over hatred and decency over division. Those are the values I will always fight for. Some try to hijack our flag to spread hate, I reject their plastic patriotism. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

A pleasure to welcome Council of Europe Secretary General @alain_berset to the UK today. For over 75 years, the CoE has been a cornerstone of human rights, democracy and the rule of law, and remains a vital force in holding Russia accountable for its aggression against Ukraine.

33 years on, I still remember hearing about Stephen Lawrence - a young man who looked like me, with dreams and a life ahead, killed in a racist attack. His family’s fight for justice still inspires. We honour his legacy by continuing the work to build a society free from racism

In November I brought in tough measures to tackle releases in error and keep the public safe.  Today I am announcing up to £82 million in funding to drive down these errors - rolling out biometrics for every prisoner and digitising the archaic paper processes we inherited.  This government is committed to keeping the public safe after years of chaos.

Today we remember the 97 men, women and children who tragically lost their lives 37 years ago during the Hillsborough disaster. Thinking today of their families and loved ones, whose strength, dignity and resilience through such profound loss continues to inspire.

On Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jews who were killed, and we acknowledge the deep grief and anguish that remembrance brings for Jewish communities today. I know this comes at a time of profound anxiety. Conflicts overseas, pressures at home, and uncertainty about the future weigh heavily – compounded by a troubling rise in antisemitic attacks and terrorist plots targeting Jewish communities across the country. My government will always act decisively to protect Jewish communities and to stamp out antisemitism wherever it appears. We will not hesitate, and we will not look away. Remembrance must come with responsibility – to honour the past, to protect the present, and to ensure that ‘never again’ is not just a promise, but a duty we uphold.

Great to catch up with my friend @JDVance today in DC following his talks in Pakistan. It is vital that the ceasefire continues and we get shipping flowing freely again through the Straits of Hormuz. We continue to work together towards a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

When someone’s lost a loved one to a crime, they should never worry about a ticking clock. That’s why we’re giving victims & families 6 months to ask for a sentence they believe is too lenient to be reviewed. Helping them get the justice they deserve. gov.uk/government/new…

I recently visited HMP Liverpool and spent time with some of the men involved in the Samaritans’ Listener scheme, where they are trained to support others through some of their darkest moments. Hearing their stories, it was clear how powerful it is when someone simply takes the time to listen. And for many, it’s something they’ve rarely had. Having positive male role models like these in our prisons really matters. Programmes like this don’t just support mental health, they build connection, purpose, and give men skills they can carry with them beyond prison. I truly believe in creating more opportunities like this, so men can support each other, grow, and find a different path. Because when we invest in support, skills, and second chances, real change is possible.
