So a "black swan" is just "being surprised" then. Pretty lackluster. I always wished there was more depth to his ideas but at the end of the day, there's not. I still am appreciative of antifragile a mindset book. That's where its value lies. But he had to try to make it more grandiose than it is by trying to dress it up as scientific (turns out his attempt to mathematize the concept via convexity fails. More on that forthcoming).
