@GrandestBust @nuckles87 Kid, when new canon invents new interpretations for old stories, it's called a Retcon. The number of emeralds that there were was retconned. Many plot details were retconned. This is again, basic storytelling.

@MPLocke @nuckles87 Really, the point of "canon isn't real" is just another way to invoke death of the author. The author can put the games and other media in the bag, if they have anything else to say about them, i can opt-in to consider it, by default, their words are irrelevant.

@MPLocke @nuckles87 Sonic Unleashed is a real game. I can play it, i can physically interact with it. Sonic Unleashed being canon to Sonic Frontiers is a statement from some guy that doesn't change anything about how i interact with Sonic Unleashed on a physical level.
