@lnachman32 This is not the first time that a US president and a Chinese leader have talked about US arms sales to Taiwan. The question is did Trump “consult” or “negotiate” with Xi on arms sales?

Trump’s language is dangerous beyond any of Biden’s gaffes. It infers Xi has a say in the nature of US arm sales to Taiwan at best, and violates the Six Assurances at worst. If Trump does not release a clarifying statement as soon as possible, then we should be deeply concerned.
