If I was paying taxes I’d be pretty happy for some of that to go towards children getting a slice of toast and an apple because their parents need to get to work before school starts. What a bizarre thing to be angry about.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

Ha! I’ve just been refused entry onto a plane from Stansted to Bologna because my passport issue date is March 2016. The expiry date is August 2026 but the rule is 10 years from issue date. Another Brexit benefit. Apparently. Go home now.

Away on holiday and the hob is gas. The amount of waste heat this thing produces is ridiculous.
We’ve be cooking on an induction hob for over half a decade. It’s clean, cheap to install and maintain, fast, emission free, and won’t blow the house up.
Switch as soon as you can.

Brought an EV today. Absolutely thrilled to bits with it. No more expensive diesel bills. We already have Solar, Batteries and Car Charger and Octopus IG.
Next step to get a Heat Pump installed then we can finally ditch the gas. Can’t wait.

A barrel of oil can provide as much electricity as a 400W solar panel does annually.
But then, the solar panel does it again, every year for several decades.
