@JBlunt1018 More scams. You claim to be for skilled visas but H1B and the rest are proven scams. These kids are not chosen for skill they come attached to a family members visa That is not a skill. Their parents were only supposed to work 3 years then leave. Now we have to reduce it to 0yrs

After my post about aging-out children of legal immigrants, I received dozens of DMs like this one. I intentionally removed this person’s name because there are people online who would gladly try to dox or harass someone simply for sharing their family’s story. Read that message and ask yourself: what exactly is being accomplished here? This family followed every rule. They entered legally. They maintained status. They paid taxes. They waited patiently. Their child has spent virtually his entire life in America. Yet they’re lying awake at night wondering whether their son will be forced out of the only country he’s has ever known because the government couldn’t process a green card before he turns 21. Regardless of where you stand politically, the humane response of any government should be to reduce suffering, not manufacture more of it. Instead, we have an immigration system that seems determined to turn ordinary families into collateral damage. And let’s stop pretending that making life harder for legal immigrants somehow improves life for everyone else. If you think aggressive restrictions on H-1Bs and legal immigration are the reason you didn’t get hired, I have some uncomfortable news: the overwhelming majority of employers aren’t rejecting candidates because an immigrant exists. They’re hiring the person they believe is best for the job. It was never about the H-1B. It was about skills, experience, performance, and value. The tragedy here is that while politicians score points, real families are spending decades in limbo, wondering whether their children have a future in the country they call home. Looking at messages like this, I genuinely wonder if there’s anyone left in Washington interested in solving problems instead of exploiting them.

Reading Dwarkesh’s story makes my blood boil. He came to America as a child. Grew up here. Went to school here. Spoke like every other American kid. Dreamed like every other American kid. Yet at 21, the country he called home was prepared to tell him: “Thanks for playing. Back to India.” Not because he broke the law. Not because his family cut corners. Not because they entered illegally. They did everything exactly the way the government asked them to. For years. The cruelty is that neither party seemed interested in fixing it. The Biden administration could have provided relief for aging-out dependents while they waited in endless green card backlogs. At minimum, work authorization and protection from falling off a legal cliff after spending their entire childhood in America. Instead, thousands of these kids were left in limbo. The Trump administration hasn’t been much better. More paperwork. More biometrics. More bureaucracy. More delays. People literally running out of status while waiting for the government to process forms the government itself required. Somewhere tonight there’s another kid just like Dwarkesh sitting in a bedroom wondering whether their future depends on a lottery ticket, a processing delay, or a bureaucratic technicality. That’s insanity. America spends billions trying to attract talent from around the world, then turns around and tells the children who grew up here legally that they might have to leave the only country they’ve ever known. There are thousands of future founders, engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs trapped in that pipeline right now. We only know Dwarkesh’s name because he made it through. We have no idea how many others we lost along the way.

TIL: You can file H-1B petitions before an F-1 student graduates, and it’s a common practice among Big Tech employers. Americans are struggling, yet companies are filing H-1Bs for F-1 students while they’re still in school.

@curtismorrison Is there actual harm from the memo? I've only heard anecdotal cases of AOS denial, which could arguably be tied to the memo, and all seemed like a reasonable exercise of discretion. If you need causes that would make a real difference for immigrants, Curtis, I can send you some.

Does anyone know of any lawsuits challenging this Adjustment of Status memo (PM-602-0199)? I want to see if others are thinking about the same approaches we're thinking about. uscis.gov/sites/default/…

Whoa. There's a declaration from ANGELICA ALFONSO-ROYALS that talks about Pakistan. What does Pakistan have to do with this? Dorcas didn't impact immigrant benefit applicants from Pakistan. 🧐

Indians are often dehumanized and called parasites. How do American cities with high Indian population perform? Edison, NJ ~38% Indian population Fremont, CA ~30% Indian population Edison, NJ - Avg household income: $125k vs $75k national average Poverty: 4.7% vs 11-12% national average School system: highly rated. Niche A overall, A academics, solid 75% proficiency in math/reading. Higher than national average Cleanliness: Consistently ranked A. Good subarban standards, no major littering, above national average Crime: 27% less crime than national average crime rates. Fremont, CA- Avg household income: $181k, 2x the US national average Poverty: 5.2% Government benefits usage: Way lower than national average School system: Excellent. Niche A overall. A+ academics. 74% reading/math proficiency. Cleanliness: High livability/safety rankings. Well maintained suburban standards. Above national average Crime: Very low. Violent crime WAY below the national average. Clearly Indians aren't the problem. They are the highest net tax contributors and positively contribute in a city's development. Believe the facts, not social media propaganda.

@KUTV2News They will sell at a loss. Truth is, people do not want this. We want ICE to follow our laws for illegal immigration. Detention centers are not the law. Seventy percent of those detained were here legally or in the process. Even some arrested at their hearings.

Iranian American Legal Defense Fund
On June 11, the U.S. deported asylum seekers to the Central African Republic. At least one Iranian national with a court-recognized fear of persecution was on board. Two other Iranian women were spared only by emergency court orders hours before departure.

I'm gonna repeat this because right now, it seems like X is determined to retard people into 2005. Every. Single. Argument. Every single argument against Communism is based on a lie about Communism. Every single one. There are zero exceptions. And the ONLY people who think they have one cannot have that "exception" held to scrutiny. They will run and hide and dodge and avoid investigation at each turn. Because, at the end of the day, anti-communism is cowardice.

A bunch of teenagers have opinions about "goth girls" with "big tiddies," and they need to understand that for those of us in our 30s and/or 40s, this is what goth girls were. We have no idea what you young people are talking about. Oh, sorry, not the first one. The second one.
