Guitarist, singist and Rugbyist. When I was young I'd listen to the radio, Waitin' for my favorite songs. When they played I'd sing along, It made me smile.

@LauraEWebsterr If the English start a process to remove powers from Holyrood then Holyrood should ignore the English laws that constrain it and hold a vote on UDI. Better to go out fighting.

Will the London Mayor and Labour government allow us to hold a “Drawing Mohammed” event in Trafalgar Square? It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate freedom of speech and tolerance in this wonderful city Everyone will be welcome: Muslims, Christian, Jews, atheists

@alexmassie "End homelessness"? That's unattainable no matter how much money is thrown at it. Incredible.

@cfcjoe6777 I was not offended by this. I was however horrified by Sarwar's "white" speech where he complained about too many white people occupying senior roles in Scotland. Scotland; where 95% of the population are "white".

@MrTCHarris You're right Tom. Not half as offensive as his "All the top jobs in Scotland are filled with "White" people". Now THAT is what I call offensive in a country which is over 90% WHITE.

@AngusBMacNeil Great idea. To pay for let’s scrap the dualling of the A9. It’s 10 years late anyway and only a few people die on it every year. 🤡

@novatjerneld @ElleBeeG @KaskaJessica @Hendasow Er, no. The The City of London Corporation has been the legal owner and custodian of the entire 790-acre Hampstead Heath since 1989. Because the Corporation is a public authority, it is bound by the Equality Act 2010.

@KaskaJessica The final legal validity of the policy is currently being decided in the courts. The crucial question does not revolve around the consultation. It is whether the "trans inclusive" policy is lawful. That is: does it comply with the Equality Act (2010).

@LesleyRiddoch The IFS noted in February 2026 that Scotland's funding advantage over England is shrinking making it harder for the Scottish Government to provide the more generous benefits (like the Scottish Child Payment) that previously bolstered its trust ratings. i.e. less bribes available!

@LesleyRiddoch The Economy: Roughly 24% of Scots report they are "really struggling" financially in 2026, leading to frustration with the Scottish government's tax and spend policies.

Finland has one of the world’s highest trust rankings between people & govt while UK has one of lowest. Did that help create their top education system? In a word - yes. Film screening with Q&A Thursday in Montrose & Sunday 5.15 Edin Cameo. Still tix. lesleyriddoch.com/events

@CAILEAN_UK @LesleyRiddoch The latest Scottish Social Attitudes data shows a sharp decline in the "contract of trust" between the Scottish public and their government: Trust to act in Scotland's interests has fallen to 47%. For context, this stood at 61% in 2019 and a massive 81% in 1999!

@LesleyRiddoch Sounds like a sweeping statement to me. Not citing the relevant stats means to all intents and purposes your own narrative and not evidence. Btw, it would also be interesting to know the comparative figure for Scotland when it comes to Scots trusting the incumbent SNP government.

This is an absolute disgrace. @YouGov, you have been cheating not even prompting Reform UK @reformparty_uk as an option to vote for. This is absolutely blatant cheating. You should be struck off by the BPC. BPC is the British Polling Council, the industry regulator for polling ⬇️

@Wilson34David Because you are playing games. You deflected and then demanded I respond on your terms. No thanks. Why is it that this is the only piece of legislation that Holyrood should be "nowhere near"?

Holyrood isn’t exactly known for forensic debate and scrutiny which then allows watertight legislation to be produced. For those reasons alone the Assisted Dying Bill should be voted down.
