When every surface is cleaned up of content Every wall of thoughtful memorabilia Every desk of handcrafted souvenirs When your home looks like a dystopian hospital You will ask yourself Did I sacrifice what was really redundant...or did I strip my home of exactly what makes it home?

> do one new thing each month > try new recipes > live in the extremes; either do something 100% or do not pursue it at all > planned spontaneity > perform mini self-audits throughout the year; take yourself to a coffee shop and journal about what you did specifically that brought joy to you > schedule hangouts and things to look forward to; send your dopamine soldiers out into the world and make them work for you > one incredible movie every week > read slowly and annotate books > look people directly in the eye when speaking to them; maximizing your present in each moment and milk it for everything it's worth > once per year - travel on a budget > once per year - travel without a budget > appreciate every moment during which you are not in a rush > moodboards and vision boards > create something. essay, guitar riff, new language. produce > walk everywhere and beyond > experience everything at least once > radical openness to hidden opportunities > slow down > PLAY.

how to life maxx more: > get off your phone > say yes to spontaneous plans even when you're tired - some of the best nights are unplanned > talk to strangers - at coffee shops, events, literally anywhere. serendipity maxx > make a bucket list and work your way through said bucket list!! > stop opting for boring hangs. switch things up with your friends. try something new!! > start a random hobby just for fun - pottery, dance, improv, cooking. not everything needs to "be productive" ok?? > be 5% more silly in your life. dance in your room, sing badly in the car, crack a bad joke. it's not that serious. grow the silly muscle > surround yourself with people who make you feel lighter - your time and energy is precious > don't forget the basics: move your body, get sunlight, take your vitamins, eat well, sleep > your time to live life is happening NOW so stop saving it for later!! we forgot that life is supposed to be FUN ya'll lets go PLAY!!!
Freyy@Freyy_is

when i say go outside i mean pottery classes, open mic nights, pilates, long walks, game nights, art exhibits, botanical gardens, book signings, sound baths, massages, gun ranges, outdoor cafes, jazz lounges. that kind of outside.

@TSoS_ Like any of Villeneuve's movies, this will also be another one where every frame could be considered a 10/10 wallpaper, and could be hanged in a photography/cinematography museum.

The Sietch of Sci-Fi |
Greig Fraser is one of the greatest living cinematographers and both Dune movies have looked utterly incredible through his lens. Linus Sandgren feels like a perfect match for Dune: Part Three. His cinematography perfectly sets it apart from the first two movies, but in a way that still feels completely in line with the world they established. You can tell that Denis Villeneuve has a distinct vision of his Dune and his cinematographers adapt to that brilliantly. I am beyond grateful that this trilogy was shot by two of our greatest living cinematographers, who made each entry feel unique and coherent.

The world used to disproportionately reward builders. Now it disproportionately rewards people with feedback. Not people who create, but people who React Review Summarize Critisize If you wish to be an outlier, you need to build something on your own - not a reference, but something that has value in itself.

Document your life. Journal about your day. Take photos on a random Tuesday. Write about your weekend and the color of the sky during it. Leave traces of your existence along the road so in the future you can go back and rediscover yourself Make a stranger out of yourself; then meet them again with a different set of eyes

@conductr_ Reading. Being geniunely interested in the books that I read pulls me out of the need to check my phone like nothing else. Once you successfully develop the muscle to enjoy longer/convoluted storylines, scrolling for fun seems incredibly boring.

There exist moments throughout the day during which the mind is calm and is at its most creative state; it would not be unwise to spent some time thinking and journaling about why exactly these moments came to fruition in the first place, so that the mind can calibrate and more easily reproduce them in the future.

Defend the intermediate and pursue a skill to a mediocre level. Spread yourself out. Go down a rabbit hole on a random topic such as language, come back; read about Viking history, come back again; practice Brahms for two hours on the piano. Submerge yourself temporarily into multiple topics, not becoming in expert in any one of them, because a life spent on satisfying your curiosity is a life worth living. Become a man not only of the World, but of Time.

I'm convinced nobody gets any actual work done in these environments. A healthy mind looks at the view beyond and does everything in its power to untether from the device and jump into a crystal blue body of bliss, bask in the sun, and read a good novel while snacking on fruit. You need isolation if you want to generate external progress i.e. project, business, etc. If you wish to work on your health or on your body, just go without the device. Mixing rarely works.

anyone who has travelled a lot knows that even though pics like this look cool, trying to half-work on your laptop in places like this absolutely fucking sucks and you’d be better off just enjoying yourself

The more time you spend in a huge organization the more you will become aware of her inefficiencies across all domains, and if you possess an entrepreneurial mind these small parasites will slowly frustrate you, eventually leading you to start something on your own. Wasting time at work is the greatest motivator to start working for yourself.

CANCEL your weekend plans. You NEED to: - go down a random Wikipedia rabbit hole about solar energy in China - learn about October revolution - read Project Hail Mary before the movie comes out - walk through a forest barefoot - flirt with a cute coworker because life is short - buy 4 new candles for your apartment - buy an aphorisms book and annotate it randomly into oblivion until it's not recognizable anymore - have a coffee oustide and journal for an hour - build a throne for someone else to sit on - go to a cathedral with noise canceling headphones on and meditate with Warhammer 40k choir ambient music - do weighted pullups until you can't feel your arms anymore - go to sleep ACTUALLY tired, not exhausted from staring at 47 screen, multitasking on 7 projects and not following a single thought until its completion You have way too much to do...
