What is your favorite movie or TV show scene where time plays a major role?

@nkolakowski Every genre has writers that may not impress readers with their structure and wordplay but they know how to write a memorable story that keeps us turning pages and devouring chapters. Sometimes you want to work through a book sometimes you want to vacation in a story.

I'm as pretentious about my prose as the next ink-stained wretch but "The Martian" was one of the few books that had me waking up early to finish... even if Weir's a clunky writer, he knows how to drive a narrative. That's an art unto itself.

Defending Your Life was released 35 years ago today!! I think I've conquered at least half of my fears.

@55mmbae Enjoy it. I recommend the audio book version with Rosario Dawson. It’s Weir stretching a bit with a bigger cast, so it’s not as much of a solo adventure as Martian or PHM but it’s another fun trip to space.

@jpalmiotti Not one to pre judge based on just a trailer BUT…while I love character stories-first watch felt too grounded for GL. I’ll be a day 1 viewer but hopefully they get out of the dirt and into the skies.

@EthanBenard Kinda hard to do but honestly, gotta just give no effort to the negative if you're trying to achieve something. ESPECIALLY on this platform. This platform is like the KING of manufactured and sometimes botted outrage.

Some of the comments on this video across socials are hilarious to me. I don’t owe the internet anything, I’m telling y’all what I’m doing simply for the sake of transparency. If I did this without making this video people would make up lies about me during the weigh-in on Friday. The internet can spew lies, say I’m binging, lying about stuff, doing the fast just for the weight loss, I don’t care. I already told y’all fasting was something I was going to incorporate into my life again, and OBVIOUSLY a fast is going to help me lose weight at my size, that’s a given. I don’t care what people believe about my intentions, what I do on my journey, claim that I have an “eating disorder”, etc. None of you know what it’s like to be in my body, what personal stuff I’ve got going on in my life, etc. I’m not going to apologize for doing this, and I don’t care if you disagree with my decisions.
