Red Dead Redemption 2 is objectively the worst game ever made. Horrible gameplay systems and too much realism crap. Rockstar should’ve focused attention on Bully 2 and not this crap!!! It looks like a damn PS2 game all the time

Something I really enjoy about the pineapple on pizza debate is how people who like it try to act like they're some oppressed minority, a tiny group of super-niche foodies, and we're all supposed to pretend we don't notice that you can get pineapple on pizza at Domino's and Papa John's, or that pineapple consistently ranks as a top 5 pizza topping in nearly every poll and ranking list you can find. It’s like how mainstream Democrats pretend they are some kind of underground resistance group.

I think if you truly hate seeing it shoved in your face, acting extremely pressed over any mentions and symbolism shown will just embolden it further. If your goal is for them to chill on it, would it not be more effective to just ignore it? Is this WoW event really worth this reaction

Your example was of a magical girl Their example was of 2 normal people becoming romantically involved in a normal setting. Not a con. Not some idol. Not cosplay. This is also something made in response to the recent fetishization of Japanese people. Where posts have blown up over IRL girls too in their uniforms.

I mean I won't disagree. I don't have high opinions of CD1, but I try to hold opinions of games until I try them. Like Code Vein 1 and 2 being wholly different experiences. So it's definitely possible Giving CD1 another chance because the patchwork pace is genuinely impressive. But I'll definitely dog Fromsoft games for lazy design choices as well lol like the lazy idea of difficulty being just litter a map with annoying mobs and call it a day. I think CD1 did itself a major disservice of making the story itself admittedly not a focus in development, while requiring to to dabble in much of it to unlock a lot of stuff that make the game more fun. If they made the game like this, I genuinely feel like the games reception would be a lot less divisive

@MimicSham @pcgamer I'd say Fromsoft still gets away with things that CD is getting attacked for though. Definitely a double standard going on. At the end of the day though, I think Crimson Desert 2 will be one of the best games ever made. CD1 is like AC 1. Assassin's Creed 2 is a masterpiece.

Larian publishing boss takes some spicy swipes at Crimson Desert, calling it a 'cynical amalgamation of borrowed mechanics'—but I think he might be the cynical one this time pcgamer.com/games/rpg/lari…

Honestly, I've never felt that about Fromsoft games. I'm usually hooked at the very first boss as the game is mostly about difficulty, pattern recognition, and skill. The gameplay experience doesn't feel super different from early to late game, biggest difference being difficulty. Those particular people I imagine enjoy the ramping difficulty, but I imagine they enjoy the game up until that point

I have to disagree with what you said there. Fromsoft games are loved for this very thing but they get away with it because it's brushed off as a "Fromsoft game". I think the real problem with CD is people thought it was going to be a Witcher 3 type game when it's more of a Breath Of The Wild spiritual spin off. I actually like the dialogue myself but I hate how some people actually have the wrong dialogue. I posted my honest review of the first 20 hours (ongoing review) and I mentioned that goblins and orcs for example often have completely humanoid voices whic his immersion breaking. Other than that, I think the game grabs you right around here: x.com/imbratorX/stat…

Tbh I think that's a pretty big flaw in design. A lot of people say that it takes such an incredible amount of dedication to "get good" at 50-80 hours in. Requiring dedication no other game truly could get away with. I wish more CD fans would recognize that. But yeah I will. I hate the pacing of dialogue because it was meant to fit the Korean language but maybe they'll patch that too. Especially since you can't skip a lot of dialogue

@MimicSham @pcgamer Definitely pick it up man. Put in some more hours. 4 hours in Crimson Desert is like 4 minutes in Baldur's Gate 3. Game is hundreds of hours deep. As for the story, it's not executed too well but you can fill in the gaps. Or, make shit up yourself 😂 x.com/imbratorX/stat…

I am 100% certain that Barden Middler was trying to be a wingman to Kliff here by setting him up with Damiane who's the second playable character in Crimson Desert. People complain about the way she was introduced but am I the only one who noticed the comedy gold here?!!🤣🤣🤣

@imbratorX @pcgamer I dropped it after 4.2 hours. The story genuinely took me out as well as the side quests being annoying lol Also the inputs and stamina felt gross. However those I hear have been patched. So I'll probably pick it back up in a year to give them time to iron things out

@MimicSham @pcgamer I respect your opinion. How many hours do you have in CD? I'm 60 hours in and so far the game does not feel like it's an amalgamation right now tbh. Note I still haven't left the tutorial area lol
