@brianne2k @hootsuite Not to believe all the personal "rules" that others developed and tried to pass on, like "must include five hashtags in every post" or "can't post the same content twice." 🙄 I learned real rules through experience and courses in the @UFCJConline social media program. 👍

@brianne2k @DQ4YOU Yep, "champ" is the original (and better) verb for this phrase, but "chomp" means nearly the same thing as "champ" and is well-accepted in this phrase now. tinyurl.com/3pjc87vw "Hone in" instead of "home in" is a more problematic eggcorn for me. 🥺

@brianne2k @jeeveswilliams 😄I prefer (and wish we could use) the British-English style of including the period outside the marks (unless it's part of the quoted content). More logical than always including it inside.

you put the period inside, it mightn’t be technically correct (if the period’s not part of the quote)
you put it outside, the period looks out of place — lost, lonely, awkward
it’s an unresolvable burden i’ll carry to my grave
