@michaelmiraflor even worse than music is scrolling through tiktok. music, you can kinda tune out, because it’s relatively continuous, y’know? but tiktok, it’s like a machine gun of jarring stop-and-start noises 🫠

There should be fines for listening to music without headphones or doing calls on speaker in public transport or in crowded public places. It’s insane how much that behavior has been normalized. One of the worst post-pandemic emergent behaviors.

there was a period of time between 2020 and 2021 when the twitter team were launching new features and sharpening existing ones at breakneck speed, getting a rebrand, a new bespoke font (chirp), etc. — it really felt like it was entering a renaissance of sorts now... 😐

and there are so many what-ifs, like, what if it falls back into more capable hands, and gets cleaned up and restored to some semblance of its former glory? i don’t expect it will, but then again, three years ago, i didn’t anticipate it being destroyed by a bored narcissist
