Responding to a fast-spreading measles outbreak, #Bangladesh 🇧🇩 is scaling up an emergency vaccination campaign to protect millions of young lives. By 18 April, over 1.49 million children were vaccinated, with 2.4 million more children to be reached. In a busy vaccination hall, Afrida, 32, holds her children close. “I brought them because I know the vaccine will protect them," she says. WHO and partners are supporting Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to vaccinate and protect every child against the deadly disease. 🔗: who.int/bangladesh/new… #VaccinesWork #Measles #HealthForAll #Immunization

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus@DrTedros

Tuberculosis remains one of the deadliest diseases killing over 3000 people every day. To protect lives, @WHO recommends new portable, simple-to-use tests at reduced costs for faster detection and treatment of TB. On #WorldTBDay, WHO calls on all countries to scale up access to these and other tools so every person with TB can be reached and treated promptly. who.int/news/item/24-0…
