While composting fines will begin today, I along with the @NYCCCommonSense will be introducing legislation that would make the program voluntary. The city demanded that all residents purchase garbage bins which now will not be filled with anything since they are requiring composting. We cannot keep allowing the city to double tax our residents and will continue to fight for every day, hardworking New Yorkers.
