The Mayor lowered the speed limit in school zones to make it more difficult and more expensive to drive, but he removes all accountability for reckless cyclists.
Where is the equity in that?

Hardworking New Yorkers are being punished for having the audacity to drive cars, while unlicensed, unregistered and irresponsible e-bikers fly through stop lights, ride over sidewalks and slam their heavyweight motorized vehicles into pedestrians with complete impunity.

Today, as Co-Chair of @NYCCCommonSense, I joined my colleagues, civic groups, and community leaders in filing a lawsuit to stop ballot proposals that would radically change the city’s land use process and cut local voices out of the equation.
The Charter Revision Commission pushed these proposals forward without conducting the legally required environmental review, ignoring the impact these sweeping changes would have on our neighborhoods.
New Yorkers deserve a fair, transparent, and lawful process, not backroom shortcuts that silence communities.
