One of the things I've been learning and still learning is switching between different models within Claude Code in order to optimize for usage while not sacrificing quality. A lot of times this week, I've used too much computing power on the wrong tasks and ended up spending a lot more money than I should have. On the flip side, I tried building stuff with the less intensive models, and I ended up wasting a lot of my time. Another fine line that no one tells you about that is domain and task-dependent. I think this is especially true if you're a non-technical person like me.

Does anyone know why the price of oil going from ~90 ->~60 as OPEC expanded production during the Fed cutting cycle of 2024-25 wasn’t a positive supply shock that they “look through” but reversing that is a negative supply shock that must be “looked through”? Have we found a perpetual motion machine of transitory inflations?
