This is simply an avenue to end TABOR and allows the state to increase taxes without restrictions. “…every taxpayer will lose an estimated $7,381 in TABOR refunds.” The argument by some legislators that “we already collected the money so we should spend it” is bonkers. If we overpaid for an item, we wouldn’t let a company keep the extra cash. We’d want OUR money back.
