It’s a terrible thing.” The President of the United States just attacked the genetics of a nation of 90 million people, which he is actively bombing. This is not frustration. This is not hyperbole. This is a deliberate rhetorical framework. Dehumanization through genetics has a specific history. It preceded every mass atrocity of the 20th century. Rwanda. Bosnia. Nazi Germany. The language always comes before the bodies. First, you question their humanity. Then you question their right to exist. Then the bombs already falling become easier to justify. Trump has threatened to erase Iran as a nation. His Defense Secretary called this just the beginning. 175 schoolgirls are already dead. 14 Americans are already dead. A Marine Expeditionary Unit is already deployed. And the President is now attacking Iranian genetics on camera. Historians will mark this moment.
