CSW 70: Virtual Side Event Making Digital Public Infrastructure Work for Women and Girls TUESDAY, 17 MARCH 2026 08.30 – 09.45 AM EST ONLINE WEBINAR ON ZOOM REGISTER HERE Co-hosted by Co-Develop, the Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure and UN Women, this side event will provide insights on efforts to ensure digital public infrastructure (DPI) is gender inclusive and works to provide access to health, justice, education and financial services for women and girls. It will bring together countries and organisations to share their experience of working to transform access to justice and other essential services around the world. UN Women has collaborated with Co-Develop and the Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure and will launch a publication during this event on Making Digital Public Infrastructure Work for Women and Girls.

This week saw the launch of the #DPIJournalism Fellowship for Eastern Africa hosted by @LetsCoDevelop & @cipesaug. This inaugural cohort of 20 fellows emerged from a rigorous selection process. They represent 9 countries (🇹🇿🇰🇪🇺🇬🇷🇼🇧🇮🇪🇹🇸🇴🇸🇸🇨🇩) in the region and who work across online, broadcast, and print platforms. The six month fellowship aims to close that gap by building the capacity of the media to cover #DPI in ways that create awareness and informed public discourse on digital governance.
