Discussions cut across education, finance, agriculture, health, and social services, showing one truth: “DPI is not a product. It is the institutional backbone of modern states — foundational, secure, and people-first.” Key highlights: @NandanNilekani (Co-Founder, @Infosys) made it clear that DPI cannot stop at identity, payments, and data exchange. The real frontier is building future-ready infrastructure for health, education, agriculture, and social protection. @snjyjn (DPI Director, @gatesfoundation) emphasized intentional inclusion. If DPI is not designed for everyone, it will default to serving only those already advantaged. Equity must be engineered. @tlamanauskas (Director General, @ITU) called for cross-sector interoperability. Real impact comes when systems speak to each other, enabling outcomes — not isolated digital projects. Experts underscored that open, interoperable infrastructure is the key to scaling agricultural transformation, empowering the majority of Africa’s workforce and reducing data fragmentation. The Country Showcase made one thing clear: effective DPI is a collective project — built through collaboration across government, private sector, civil society, and communities. Day 2 reinforced that DPI is not a standalone tool but the core infrastructure for how nations deliver education, finance, agriculture, and social services.
