@PLT_cheater Very true. I get experimenting with it in certain areas, but there is a lot of blind faith going on.

@LinuxJedi I've seen a bunch of stuff happening and I'm like "why was the AI hooked into that"

A lot of recent headlines blame AI for outages, lost data, or even companies collapsing. In most cases the real problem isn’t AI. It’s broken operational processes. linuxjedi.co.uk/ai-didnt-destr…

@OldManThatGames The biggest thing is setting Acorn as the type in the config file, otherwise it will read the ADFs wrong. Otherwise defaults usually work, SEL0 I think.

📰 Parents: My 4th grader has a voracious appetite for news. When I was that age, my parents watched the 6-7pm local/national news, got newspapers, and radio. In an on-demand world, what news outlets are appropriate for a 5th-grade reading level, given how much to reveal to kids?

@jessfraz Perfect! Thank you for sharing it. At some point this week I'll write my own based on C and my workflow and incorporate some of this!

@JohnLoony Red Panda got edited out, something to do with the song being offensive given what happened in Switzerland

The Radio Times has got six acts listed for episode 1/8 of #MaskedSingerUK, but Joel is talking about the next one (the fifth one, after we have had four already) as the last one. What’s going on? It’s bad enough that it’s scheduled to overlap with #TheTraitorsUK

@courtneyr_dev I still find Nerf darts occasionally hidden around the house. My youngest who had the Nerf gun moved out a couple of years ago 😂

Undecorating the tree and husband pulls a Nerf dart out, inquiring where this came from. My bet is on him actually. 🤣

@NebularNerd I think AGP wasn’t stable until Socket 370 / Socket A era. Which I suspect is the cause of a lot of issues. I went from K6-2 to Dual Pentium 3 700MHz back in the day.

@LinuxJedi They were, I went big with AMD from the K6-2's up until the Core2Duo era. Still like their chips now but they always seem to have twitchy motherboard issues.

@NebularNerd This was definitely the start of the first big rise of AMD. The Athlon secured it back then.

@LinuxJedi K6-2 and 3 were the best. So much performance per £ back in the day. Ran nice and cool as well.

@LinuxJedi Happy days! I remember back in the later 90s having a K6-2 450 and a Voodoo card (both probably in the attic), and Quake I/II never looked so smooth!

@Benathon To be sort-of fair, depends on the charger. Some do switching on the low voltage side, bridge after the transformer. But yes, that tweet was… odd.

Homeboy doesn’t know what a full bridge rectifier is
BT-7274🛡️@Forged4Glory

@Benathon @RjNol That’s 100% not true and if stick your wall charger in a DC circuit it’s gonna hurt. Use your fancy AI and look it up. If you’re converting 120v ac to 5v dc with a solid state rectifier; call yah boy Elon cause you’re rich. 😆
