Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is a highly prevalent & largely asymptomatic disease posing a major healthcare challenge. There's an urgent need for more sensitive, specific, independently validated & qualified biomarkers for use in #NAFLD.

❓Accuracy of 17 biomarkers in 966 adults w/ #NAFLD; 335 (35%) w/ at-risk #NASH
❌None met predefined acceptable AUC in detecting at-risk NASH (NAS≥4 & F≥2)
