Today I introduced our #30ForOurCity bill because the wages are too damn low and the cost of survival is too damn high! NYC runs on working people. They deserve to thrive here too. NYC workers need $30/hr now! #30ForOurCity

Today we launched #30ForOurCity with Raise up NY! NYC workers built this city. They should be able to live in it. But $17/hr means 1M+ workers survive on $500/week. That’s not a living wage. That’s a crisis. We say: Enough. $30 for our city! $30 for our workers!

Amazon is now rolling out 1-hour and 3-hour delivery. Injuries have already been increasing near 'last-mile' Amazon warehouses that handle the last leg of the delivery process. And workers at the many Amazon sub-contractors are already heavily exploited and over-worked.
