Strong partnership between the State and our city makes a real difference. I’m excited to see this funding benefit every community, in every borough, as we continue building a stronger New York, block by block.
Governor Kathy Hochul@GovKathyHochul

NEW: We’re providing $1.5 billion in state aid to protect essential services, support working families, and put New York City on stable financial footing. A strong New York City means a stronger New York State. Proud to partner with @NYCMayor to get this done.

For our community to thrive, we must be visible, we must be vocal, we must stand up when people try to push us down, and we must preserve our history in order to protect our future. Our flag will go back up. Our story will remain to be told.

Council LGBTQIA+ Caucus hosted The Hands Off Our History Rally at Stonewall National Monument! Less than 48 hours after the Trump administration removed the Pride flag, our community came together to stand up and make it clear that we are not going anywhere!

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 6:00 PM Tuesday through 6:00 AM tomorrow Wednesday for Queens and the Bronx. Light freezing rain and freezing drizzle expected in Queens and the Bronx. Sidewalks, roads, and bridges may become icy and very slippery. Use extra caution when driving, walking, or biking. Allow more time to get where you are going. Use mass transit if possible. Check on older adults, neighbors, and people with disabilities or access and functional needs.

My statement on the latest update from the NYSNA strike. Hoping this agreement is finalized and NewYork-Presbyterian can come to the table as well.

The Big Game is no reason to not #ShopSmall! Here are some of my favorite spots in the South Bronx where you can gear up and chow down for the game (and more importantly the Half Time Show)

A Code Blue has been issued in New York City. The real feel is below zero and it is unsafe to be outside for prolonged periods of time. Our city has resources for those who are stuck out in the elements. If you see someone who needs help, call 311 or 911.

.@NYCSanitation issued a winter weather advisory set to begin this evening. New Yorkers should brace themselves for more snow and single digit temperatures. Crews are already hard at work continuing to clear existing snow and preparing for more. Stay safe this weekend.

Yesterday, I marched in solidarity on the picket line with the hard working nurses of our city and my colleagues in the Progressive Caucus. As the nurses of @nynurses fought their 24th day to protect their rights, we renewed our commitment to these heroic life-saving workers!

It’s been a productive and impactful first month in office! My team and I have hit the ground running. Check out some of the highlights from January, starting with my Inauguration Ceremony where we celebrated District 17 on January 17!
