The Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Tuesday arrived in Beijing, China, for high level military engagements. On Wednesday, the CDF and his delegation visited China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), a Chinese state-owned defence company with a core business in aviation products and technology. The CDF was taken on a guided tour of the cutting edge technology in various aviation equipment by the Vice President of the facility. During his official visit, Gen Kainerugaba is also expected to attend a military conference alongside his counterparts from various countries and also hold talks with his Chinese counterpart among other high-level meetings. Gen Kainerugaba was on Tuesday received at the airport by Chinese military generals and senior officers.
